In 1999, Davis lived with parents, and his older sis, Jun Motomiya, in Odaiba. On August 3, he and his family unit were among Myotismon's hostages held at Tokyo Big Sight. The Samurai of Sincerity His contact with Digimon eventually led him to be chosen to get a new DigiDestined.
